Butterflies of Extremadura
In Extremadura and the Gredos mountains has been recorded more than 120 species of butterflies. The best places to see butterflies in Extremadura are mountainous areas of the north of Cáceres and the mountains of Villuercas in the East of Extremadura, for this motive, these are the destinations where we offer our excursions to see butterflies from April to September.
Orquids of Extremadura
In Extremadura we can find up to 44 different species of orchids and even some endemic form.
The best period to find orchids in Extremadura is between March and April. We can offer a guided visit to a small area of limestone with the right conditions to find an interesting variety of species.

Amphibians and Reptiles of Extremadura and Gredos
Extremadura is a very important region for reptiles and amphibians, with a total of 17 species of amphibians (6 endemic species) and 27 of reptiles (7 endemic species), some of this endemic species has a very reduced area of distribution.
We offer herpetological guided trips to see and to know the amphibians and reptiles of Extremadura and Gredos, but we can design others herpetological tailor-made tours in other places of the Iberian Peninsula.
